My son finds it difficult to ‘hold on’ when we are out and about. He turned four in February. My other kids are twin 7 y/o girls and a 4 month old baby.
When my son needs to go, he needs to go NOW. I find it hard to get him there in time with 3 other young kids in tow. He always goes to the bathroom before we leave the house.
He was a late potty trainer and only really got the hang of it about 6 months ago.
Bunch of schools around here ( public ones) decided they were going to make the kids all wear uniforms or have strict standards.
How could they do that? I thought only Private schools could do that.

Can anyone tell me roughly how much it cost to send kids to a public school. We live south of Adelaide. I want to know how much it cost per year and what do you have to buy eg books, uniforms, hats, excursions, etc. The info Im looking for is for the beginning of primary school age. I have noticed that young kids are more forgiving than adults. If the neighbor kid hit your child while playing then the parents get upset. While the kids are sent inside, the parents argue and even threaten to call the police. A few days later the kids are playing together again, but the parents can’t stand one another. Why do the kids work it out, but not the parents?
The theme is whimsical street scene with cars, trucks, buses. I used to have all the matching bath stuff, but the paint is all chipping off, and they look terrible. What can I accessorize with instead? I was going to put candles in there, but that doesn’t make much sense in a kids bathroom.
I really want to know how much homework your kids have when they come home from school everyday. (Well or how much they just had!) I don’t remember ever having the homework my kids have.
I will start – mine are in 3rd and 4th grade.
3rd grader has this math assignment every single night (it is one of two papers) even on Fridays and is supposed to read for about a half an hour.
4th grader has math of about 30 problems (pre-algerba) spelling words written 5x each (10 words) and has so to read for about that same half an hour. Also on Fridays too.
I never understood the reading thing, they read for like an hour everyday IN school, both my boys read well above their grade levels.
I think it is too much homework myself.

I’m in a bit of a bind! We’re going away to get married, and having a small reception for close friends and family when we get back. Obviously cost is a factor so we don’t want the guest list to get too out of hand. We are naturally inviting all of the kids in our family (there’s not too many of them). We’re also inviting a number of colleagues that we’re quite close to, but had not intended to invite their kids as we don’t really know them. Is this okay or completely wrong?? Thanks.
