Feed him in his diaper if he has on something that you love. Babies get food everywhere. My biggest problem is the high chair. How in the world do you keep that clean?

Well depending on how old your child is. I would suggest taking the spoon or fork out of their hands and feed them yourself. Also keep a wet paper towel in hand and give them small amounts. Keep the food dish/bowel away from them, they love to put their hands in it and throw it on the ground. My child only got messy when I let them feed themselves or when I was trying to teach them how to use the fork or spoon. sometimes it is okay to allow them to make a mess, you can’t hand feed them forever. they must learn, I suggest helping them learn, do not just put the food in front of them hoping the concept will click. worst case scenario use/make a baby poncho. Take a small trash bag, cut 3 holes in it on the bottom, a bigger hole in the middle and slide it over the head and arms, sounds funny, just like a make shift rain jacket for adults.

You should try the long sleeve bibs. They prevent food from getting on you kid’s sleeves and on the front of their body. Bumpkins and iPlay make these types of bibs. The bibs with the pockets at the bottom are good too. BabyBjorn makes bibs with a cup at the bottom to catch falling food. They look weird but they work great. Good luck!

there are some disposable bibs by pampers that you can get and they are quite larger then the usual bibs…. also they have some that are larger with a front pocket that will catch some food… but nothing can completely protect your child….. messes happen all the time and that is something you have to get used to.

You can get larger bibs. They’re pretty inexpensive at Wal-Mart. I find they keep my boys fairly well protected. Most baby food washes out if you get to it right away. Carrots are the worst! Zout works really well on stains, even stains on things that have been washed and dryed in already.

There are full body bibs that go on like a shirt, and also bibs that are the length of a 2yr old torso. Best bet is to buy some hand towels, cut a hole big enough for you to slip over the baby’s head and feed him that way.

I take his clothes off and put a cheap vinyl table cloth under the high chair. After he’s done, I wash him down, change his diaper and put his clothes back on. I know it’s more work but it’s the only way they are going to learn how to adequately feed themselves.

I take the clothes off at every feeding and just feed in a diaper. If I am out some where, I put on a bib and give tiny tiny bites, so as not to make a mess. It takes longer but it works.

well i would use a towell and if that does not work i would get her a outfit that is already bad and when ever she is about to eat put it on her so the other stuff wont get messy!!!!

Until he’s better at eating, take his clothes off. You can’t keep a baby from getting covered in food, but you can take the clothes out of the equation.

it is impossible. that’s why you by clothes that are cheap. Besides they grow so fast. When they are 3 then you can start buying other things.

Honestly, at home, I just take off the shirt while eating. Much easier, and it’s easier to wipe him down than a bib. Plus, no chance of it getting on his clothes!
