How Early Did You Start To Look Into Baby Items?
How early in pregnancy did you start to look at baby items? When did you first buy something for your baby?
This is our first baby so we are very excited and have already been down to babies r us just to look. I’m only 5 weeks pregnant so we will wait awhile before buying anything.
But we are planning on doing the room in Winnie the Pooh so the other day we did pick up a Stuffed Roo toy at the Disney store.

I started looking at items as soon as I found out that I was pregnant — 4 weeks! It is such an exciting time and you feel like you’re finally a part of the “club.” I picked up a few things, but then about month 7 or 8 is when I started getting the bigger items and making sure things were in order. I like to be prepared…lol. Congrats!

I started “looking” at items after 12 weeks of pregnancy and an early ultrasound. I did a lot of research in the 3,4,5th month for things like infant car seat, crib, highchair, stroller. The Baby Bargains book was really helpful, too, in rating different brands and listing the essential items you need at what times.

I started looking at things at 3 months, and buying things at 5 months. If you see the perfect item for your nursery now, and youre positive they wont have it later, I think its ok to buy it now as long as its a rare case and youre not doing that for every item you see. well with my first i was not going to start till i was at least 21 weeks! then my mom and nanny got excited and at 17 weeks i had my bassanet,highchair,swing,bouncychair, and a bunch of outfits…. all winni the pooh as well! it was adorible! now im having my second im 26 weeks and i have nothing! yikes!

My grandmother started buying a week after I found out. It wasn’t sex determined things but things that would help me out in the long run. I personally dont think its too early. As long as you have some where to keep these things.
