Depends on the agency. You can expect a background check, references checked, home inspection, lots of training, medical exams, lots of paperwork. From start to finish—1-2 yrs.

Anywhere between Zero – $30,000. It depends on what type of adoption you choose. Private, domestic or international.
You can get more detailed info. on Adoption.com
To find out your states exact fees, you may have to contact an agency.

The cost of adoption depends on how you choose to proceed. If you use the US foster care system, there is little or almost no cost to the adoptive parents. In some states, subsidies are offered. Stepparent or kinship adoptions usually cost up to $2,500.

Check your local tax laws, you should be eligible for an adoption tax credit of up to $10,000 to defray the costs.
See the attached link for specific information.

Yes someone who is young or unmarried shouldn’t be allowed to raise their kid but adopters definitely deserve a tax break to get said kid at a discount.
    Adoption Rocks!!!!
