Vitamins are a good start. But the biggest thing I would suggest for kids is a healthy, established routine.
The easiest way for a child to continue a routine, is to make it habitual, and involve yourself in it. To include everything from eating healthy, to exercise, and most especially hygiene.
The biggest cause of health problems in children is obesity, and a lack of regular physical exercise, as well as yearly check-ups with their Pediatrician.
As a paramedic for the past 5 years, and also as a Registered Nurse, I highly reccomend children eat a healthier diet, include a lot of fruits (which are high in vitamins and minerals), as well as leafy greens (which contain antioxidants, and help children feel full without weighing them down), and tomatos are an excellent source of antioxidants that will help strengthen the immune system. Stay away from fried foods, as well as eating at night because it exaserbates problems like acne in teen years, and adds pounds fast.
An excellent place to learn, and even ask questions about parenting, and kids health is http://health.discovery.com/centers/kids... which is the website focused around children on DiscoveryHealth.com. It has contributions from such noted internal physicians as Dr. Mehmet Oz, as well as many others. There's also tips on healthy living for families, and other useful things.
Good luck, and Good Health!

give them vitamins like the gummy bear ones, pediasure is good cuz it has lost of vitamins and calcium, do fun activities with your kids its a good work out for you and helps them to stay in good shape and reduce chances for obesity. Try not to give your kids too much candy stuff like this will only lead to diabetes and teeth cavities.
