Shhhhh! It is very rude to ask this question.
Don’t you know that this is an “historic” inauguration and that none of the others that ever happened before really even counted?
BTW, how come nobody in the media is doing any of those stories about the wretchedly excessive amount of money that is being spent on this outrageous display of greed and sucking-up?
Obama is spending more than TWICE what Bush’s 2005 Inaugural spent.
Not a peep about it but the media went NUTS over how much was spent in 2005 and the economy was GOOD.
So now with everything in the toilet, Obama is wasting all this cash, and we hear …(….crickets….)

I have seen no figures that high for the inauguration but no matter what it is, it’s donated money. Try getting that much money donated to help any cause involving poor people. All you have to do is read around Yahoo Q&A so see that half the people here don’t care about the working poor or the down-and-out people in our society. They’ll just tell them to go get a job and buy their own health care. The money spent at the inauguration goes back into the economy and that helps everyone.

50 times more people are going to show up for Obama’s inauguration than Bush’s in 2004.
Thus the costs for everything from security to porta potties is going to be more expensive.
I would like to see how much per person was spent on Bush’s inauguration in 2004 compared to Obama’s this year.
