What Age Order Should I Address Kids On My Inner Envelopes?

Posted on November 15th, 2009 in Articles by Tangkau

Does it matter what order i put the kids on for my inner envelope. There are 4 kids i am inviting. So it will say Mr. & Mrs. Doe and then have the kids listed individually. What order do they go in? Youngest to oldest or does it matter? What is proper?

Most of the time it is oldest to youngest. Or you can simply say “and children.”
If one of them is in your wedding, you can always put that child’s name first, then list the others. For example:
    John, Jane, and Carol
(next line) Samuel, Kyle, and Becky

Generally parents first, then oldest to youngest children
I don’t think it matters too much, but thats the most common :)

I didn’t do any of that… if they lived in the same house as the parents and had the same last name I addressed them as “The Doe Family”
