What Are Good Ways To Help Kids With Their Homework?
I’m 17 and i have a lot of younger siblings and cousins that we live with each oother. I am going to start helping them with their homework more this year. I don’t think i explain things that well. Can u give me some tips on helping the kids with their homework. I’m a junior in high school and the kids are all ages and the school age kids in my house are grades kindergarten to 11th grade(juniors in high school)

I think that the best way to handle this would be to have a set time each night to work on homework. I wouldn’t suggest immediately after school….everyone needs time to wind down and kids need to work off all that built up energy.
I would suggest getting home, having a snack, playing or hanging out and then doing the homework. Everyone does homework every night. Turn off the tv, the stereo and telephone and sit at the dining room table. If someone doesn’t have homework, they can sit around the table and read or color a picture or practice writing their letters or numbers. The point is that no one is doing something other than work during work time. You don’t want them to not bring their homework home or rush thru it at school so they can play while others are doing their homework.
Just be patient and look through the materials and explain it the best way you can. Look on the internet, there are explanations for everything.

be patient with the older ones and make learning fun for the younger ones. with the younger ones come up with songs, stories anything that will help them remember.

seach it up on google or email the teachers and ask if they will explain to you what their hw is about every time they have homework. like a newsletter kind of thing
