You may already be an amazing parent, me….not so much. I am learning some tips that at least make me feel like a better parent! I schedule daily “fun” time…Sounds silly, I know, but it has really helped me turn the TV off! I do daily circle time and I just started a learning centre. Do you have some quick parenting tips? So that I can get some extra sleep, because I stay up late working on my business and getting some work done around the house. Well this morning my husband woke the children up as usual. And my son tells his dad that he does not feel like going to school, because he did not feel good. Not sure what hubby told him, but when I went in his room to grab some clothes for my youngest son, I asked him what was wrong and he more than likely, gave me the same answer that he gave his dad. In turn I said to him “now you know if you don’t go to school, then you won’t be able to watch TV, play video games, get on the phone etc. Plus if you had a job no employer is going to accept your excuse about not feeling good. You would be fired.” “I have plenty of days that I don’t feel good, but I push pass my pain and you are going to have to learn how to do the same thing.” He then said “but I feel better when I move around, especially if I go to the Y.” My response is “not in this house!” No school, no Y or anything else for that matter.” I am not sure exactly what he said after that, because it was very low. But if I were to guess, with him being a teenager I would say he said “leave me alone.” But I can’t say for sure. This sounds like a typical response …
